The Double Snap Lead is made using 2 layers of durable mil-spec webbing to create a supple and strong, tactical dog leash. Similar to a traditional Jaeger Lead, A “floating” ring allows the lead to be worn around your chest or waist and provides a hands-free leash that is designed for Personal Protection, Search and Rescue (SAR), and Schutzhund (IPO) Working Dogs.
An integrated clip-in point near the snap allows the handler to use a standard climbing carabiner as a secondary clip-in option. Additional clip-in points can be added along the body, which can be used in various configurations making this an ideal multipurpose lead.
An optional close-control handle can be added to help keep the dog at your side, but can be neatly tucked out of the way using an integrated elastic loop when not in use. The lead can be customized with multiple attachment point options including a Kong Frog with swivel providing a secure, climbing rated hardware option—a Kong Frog will be on the dog-side of the lead while a Solid Brass (Gold) Snap will be on the handler-side of the lead, if you would like a Kong Frog on each side please contact customer service.
Please note that we do not recommend slinging the leash across the chest for Law Enforcement K9 Handlers as it could cause an officer safety issue in a street deployment. Officers looking for a hands-free option should consider our Tactical Deployment Lead, which attaches safely and securely to a fixed point on the officer and can be released under load.
